Chevrolet Performance Releases New 570 HP LS7-based Crate Engine

Posted By: nmrasalesdept
Chevrolet Performance's new LS427/570 builds on the track-bred performance of the LS7 engine and enhances it in two important ways: More power and easier installation. A new, high-lift camshaft helps it produce 570 horsepower at 6,200 rpm and 540 lb-ft of torque at 4,800 rpm for an increase of 65 hp and 70 lb-ft over the production-based LS7 crate engine. Additionally, a new wet-sump oiling system facilitates an easier installation without the hassle of adding a dry sump oil tank and running additional oil lines for the tank. The new Chevrolet Performance Hydraulic Roller Camshaft 'specs out at 0.591-inch/0.591-inch valve lift and 227/242 degrees of duration with a 116-LSA. Along with the new cam is a new wet-sump oiling system that features a 1998-02 F-body (Camaro/Firebird) wet-sump oil pan to make swapping it into most vehicles very easy. On the intake side, the LS427/570 utilizes a low-profile, LS7 EFI intake with fuel rails, injectors and throttle body, and CNC-Ported LS7 cylinder heads with 2.200-inch Titanium intake valves. The block is an aluminum LS7 piece with 4.125-inch bores and is stuffed with a 4.000-inch stroke forged steel crankshaft. Compression ratio checks in at 11.0:1. Tubular exhaust manifolds from the 5th-Gen Camaro Z/28 are included as is the Z/28's 168-tooth manual transmission flywheel. If you want a turnkey setup, you can also order Chevrolet Performance's LS427 Engine Controller (PN19420000). The LS427/570 is priced at $12,714.70, which includes free shipping in the lower 48 states. For more information, visit, Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center's website HERE.
