PRW Introduces New Line of Rochester Quadrajet Carburetors

By RPD Staff

Virtually all drag racers are familiar with the Rochester Quadrajet, a spread-bore four-barrel carburetor developed in the 1960s. Q-Jets, as they are often referred to, were used on regular production and high-performance engines, with some of the last being the mid-1980’s GM vehicles.

Those still in use have likely been subject to numerous rebuilds, which can take its toll on a carb. The good news for Q-Jet fans is that you can now purchase a brand-new Rochester Quadrajet in a variety of sizes.

These new PRW Rochester Quadrajet carburetors are manufactured with all new
components. They are a significant upgrade to stock carburetors for most GM
Automotive applications and every carburetor is equipped with an industry-first lean/rich adjustment allowing 15-percent +/- main circuit adjustment to allow for precise tuning with ease.

PRW carburetors are compatible with “C-” and “U-” style throttle linkages suitable for stock intake manifolds. PRW offers these Q-Jets in 650 cfm (designed for cars and trucks with engine sizes ranging from 283-350 cubic inches, and 695 cfm for vehicles with engine sizes ranging from 350-455 cubic inches). Both carburetors work well with a mild cam or headers for optimum street performance, or they can be tuned for track performance as well.

In addition, PRW also offers two new marine carburetors. These carburetors are also manufactured with all new components. They are a great upgrade from stock GM marine carburetors and are also equipped with industry-first lean/rich adjustment allowing 15-percent +/- main circuit adjustment to allow for precise tuning with ease. These carburetors are compatible with Mercruiser Marine throttle linkages. They are available in 650- and 695-cfm sizes and meets U.S. coast guard requirements.
