During R&R Auto Body and DeCerbo Construction Rumble Wars Extreme 8 eliminations on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at the 17th Annual Stainless Works Cavalcade of Stars presented by Budweiser at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio, Dave Roemer was involved in an on-track accident.
The NHRA Safety Safari, University Hospitals and Summit Motorsports Park track crew quickly responded to the scene.
While Summit Motorsports Park is not detailing Roemer’s injuries publicly, track owner Bill Bader Jr., spoke with Roemer on June 5, and let him know that the Summit Motorsports Park family and the racing community are thinking about him and praying that he heals as quickly as possible.
Roemer is a popular NMCA VP Racing Lubricants Xtreme Pro Mod racer as well.
“The Roemers are family and have been part of Norwalk since my father purchased the track 50 years ago,” said Bader Jr. “Dave is the consummate professional, a well-respected competitor and a Summit Motorsports Park Sportsman of the Year. I ask you to please keep Dave in your thoughts and prayers as he begins the process of healing.”
