NMRA and NMCA Racers To Clash at Super Bowl of Drag Racing

With Orlando and Rockingham in the rear-view mirror, NMRA and NMCA drag racers are preparing to battle at the upcoming Super Bowl of Muscle Car Drag Racing in St. Louis at the popular World Wide Technology Raceway May 4-7.
The iconic St. Louis Arch will serve as a backdrop as racers square off for the third round of action in the NMRA and NMCA series. Racers from the Holley NMRA Ford Nationals and Red Line Oil NMCA Muscle Car Nationals join forces to bring back the fabled Super Bowl Shootouts with a new twist and backing from portable test and measurement instrumentation specialists, Testo. For 2023, the current points leaders will take on top class qualifers for a shot a cash and a Super Bowl ring.

“From the beginning, our Super Bowl events have been special. Bringing NMRA and NMCA together is like a shot of nitrous that revs up the excitement for racers in both series,” Steve Wolcott, President and CEO of NMRA & NMCA, said. “This year we we’re adding a new element that not only makes it more fun for the fans, but more competitive and exciting for the racers.”
These shootouts will run on Saturday, May 6 at approximately 2 p.m. so the whole crowd can head for the stands and pull for their favorite drivers. The Testo Super Bowl Shootouts are open to all championship classes, which means there will be 23 races for big money, rings and national bragging rights.
Along with the Super Bowl battles, racers will have the opportunity to gain valuable championship points in their respective classes. Fans will experience the thrill of 200-plus mph Pro Mods, 7-second Holley EFI Factory Super Cars and monster wheelies from the gear jammers in Factory Stock and Coyote Stock. Muscle Car fans will get their fill with Miscle Strategies Stock and Super Stock, Nostalgia Super Stock and speaking of monsters, enthusiasts can get a photo with Number 1 and 8 Big Foot, and capture the thrill of flame-throwing jet cars. The Super Bowl of Muscle Car Drag Racing also features the Super Bowl Fan experience and massive car show.
On track action will include both NMRA and NMCA championship classes, plus the Dodge HEMI Shootout, Circle D Specialties/TorqStorm True Street, which is a class for everyone, Index racing and Bracket classes, too.
