After a strenuous season of racing that had substantial success and setback, Swedish driver Adam Flamholc flew to a third place finish in the ambitious and aggressive NMCA VP Racing Fuels Xtreme Pro Mod category in 2017.

Fans and fellow racers wanted to see even more of the crowd-pleasing and competitive driver in 2018, but Flamholc, whose Flamholc Racing offers tuning, engine-building and more for race teams in the United States, Russia and Europe, turned his focus to helping other race teams for the year.

Recently, however, he announced that he'll race his Corvette in NMCA VP Racing Fuels Xtreme Pro Mod at five events beginning with the season-opening 17th Annual NMCA Muscle Car Mayhem, March 7-10 at Bradenton Motorsports Park in Florida.

The Corvette is NMCA-legal with a 526 cubic-inch Hemi engine that we built here at Flamholc Racing, said Flamholc. We are now using a PSI screw blower, and the plan is to run at 92 percent overdrive. I tested the Corvette at the U.S. Street Nationals (at Bradenton Motorsports Park in January.) We went 3.669 at 207 mph under NMCA rules with it. I'm really, really looking forward to coming back to NMCA. It's a great organization with great people running it. There are a lot of cool tracks and places to go to.

Additionally, Flamholc will race his Mustang in NHRA Pro Mod at select events before shipping it overseas to race with the FIA European Drag Racing Championship, Russian Drag Racing Championship and at other events, and a look at his calendar reveals that he plans to belt in and blast down track a minimum of 21 times this year.

The Mustang has been updated and transformed to an NHRA/FIA (European Drag Racing Championship)-legal Pro Mod car, said Flamholc. Flamholc Racing and Chris Duncan Race Cars have done all the work on it, and I just picked it up at Signtastic in Sebring (Florida), which gave it a new wrap with new colors. The Mustang will be set up with a 526 cubic-inch Hemi engine and roots blower at 16.5 percent overdrive.

When he's not behind the wheel, Flamholc will continue to help several race teams in the United States, Europe and Russia.

I have high hopes, said Flamholc. I want to try to win in the U.S, in FIA in Europe and in Russia. Those are my hopes, but it won't be easy. There are plenty of other teams that are really good and have high hopes, too. I'm blessed to be surrounded by great people. My team consists of William Serler, Jimmy Brown and Kristian Nystr m. My family is very supportive, and I couldn't do what I do without them. Big thanks to my sponsors and business partners, including SMP Racing/Dragtimes, 5 Days Plantation Shutters and Blinds, MMR (Malmo Motorrenovating), Diamond Pistons, Kvinesdal Auto, Auto Collection Sweden AB, R&R Connecting rods, Amalie Oiland Flamholc Racing Engines.
