NMCA UPDATES PURE STOCK CLASSES FOR MICRO STRATEGIES STOCK ELIMINATOR

For many racers there’s a fascination with taking a “stock” vehicle and maximizing its performance. Tuning, tweaking and testing is part of the thrill. With that, NMCA is offering modern Muscle Car enthusiasts an opportunity to enter Championship Class racing, with their showroom stock cars in the revised Pure Stock Classes.

ANY car that is currently listed in the NHRA stock class car classification guide is eligible to run in the Pure Stock Classes of Stock Eliminator, which boils down to most modern American cars. This includes up to date late-model showroom production cars like the Mustang, Camaro and Dodge products.

The NHRA listed Shipping Weights, Horsepower, and Weight Breaks for Stock Class Cars will be used to determine Class fit, Minimum weight, and Index. Pure Stock Indexes will be adjusted race by race as NMCA gains information about performance level of the new showroom cars.  EXCLUDED are all factory built Racecars ie: COPO Camaros, Ford Cobra Jets, and Dodge Drag Paks. Pure Stock is more for showroom, production vehicles that start our as street-legal examples.

Keep in mind that these classes are created for basically showroom production cars. The rules will remain basically the same as in past Pure Stock classes, which you may be familiar with as they existed in the IHRA Stock Category.
