Short Bio: Ainsley Jacobs has been a lover of “all things horsepower” ever since she was a child. In 2012, she founded P.TEN Marketing (named for the “P10” chassis code of her first car) and offers motorsports marketing, communications and branding, automotive journalism, website development, graphic design, event photography, social media management, and more to the racing industry.

A die-hard gearhead with a passion for delivering exceptional results, Ainsley is enthusiastic, energetic, and experienced in the racing community.

In her spare time, Ainsley enjoys drag racing, road racing, traveling, fun with firearms, and riding/spoiling her semi-retired 3-phase event horse, JJ.

Favorite Racing Class: Pro Modified
Favorite Car: anything with a big, nasty screw-blown Hemi on alcohol
Dream Car: my first car that I bought when I was 15, a 1993 Infiniti G20. It was 140hp naturally aspirated and front when drive when I bought it. Now it’s got a built 2.1L SR engine, turbo, automatic to manual swap, full suspension… and it’s been in chassis jail for the last 5+ years getting a FWD to AWD conversion and a cage. At this point, I’ve completely given up on the shop ever finishing it… so it’s my “dream” to have it done and drivable.
Favorite Race Track: Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in Englishtown, New Jersey (it’s where she raced for the first time and where she started her career)
Favorite Food: Thai
Favorite Drink: Hard Cider
Favorite Sport: 3-Day Eventing
Favorite movie: Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken
Favorite quote: “Your relatives are your biological family, but your friends are your logical family.”
Favorite phone app: WhatsApp
Favorite vacation spot: Thailand
First purchase if gifted a million dollars: I’d be boring and put it into a retirement account, because I’ve worked hard enough that I’m fortunate to already have everything I need and most of what I want.
First job: Managing a chiropractor’s office when I was 12 years old
Worst job you ever had: I’ve actually had a lot of really fun jobs – I can’t think of a bad one!
Best Job you ever had: Pretty sure I’ll get fired if I don’t say NMRA/NMCA, going on 10+ years now! ;)
Favorite Band/Artist: Miranda Lambert
Dream Job: Lottery jackpot winner (but if that doesn’t work out: marketing/PR for a traveling top-tier drag racing team or professional 3-day event rider/trainer)
If you could meet one person, living or dead, who would it be: I would want to meet my soulmate. Preferably he’s still in the “living” category here ;)
Best Advice given to you: “Bad decisions make great stories later”
Worst Advice given to you: “Get a degree in business and marketing, then you’ll be able to get a job anywhere” (spoiler alert: nowhere)
Who do you most admire: Becky Moldenhauer, Mark Menscer, Denise Tutterow, Beth Briner
What’s your hidden talent: I’m a pretty decent cook and can say hello/thank you in about a dozen languages
What are your hobbies or interests other than racing: horseback riding, traveling, guns (and still racing, duh)
What’s your guilty pleasure: sleeping late
What’s something people don’t know about you: I’m extremely hard on myself and I take things personally… please be kind. Even though I act like a baddie, I’m sensitive and your words hurt more than I let on.
Canon or Nikon: Cannon
Coffee or tea: Coffee (but I never say no to a good Chai latte)
Horse, Dog or Cat: Horse – especially my sweet boy, JJ, who is basically a 1,200lb dog!
What inspires you: I grew up very poor… I don’t ever want to end up like that again, so, I tell myself “hustle or homeless” and strive for continuous improvement in all areas of my life.
