ProCharger superchargers just announced that it is shipping "The world's first supercharger system" for the C8 Corvette. In fact, the company is actually offering two kits, and HO version as well as Stage II Tuner kits. These new supercharger kits were tested on two in-house C8 Corvettes, along with a few others, and the new mid-engine Corvettes were flogged on the dyno, dragstrip, and road course. According to ProCharger, the company's C8 Corvette supercharger, at just 6.5 psi of boost, offered a 0.3-second reduction in 0-60 times, 8 additional MPH in the 1/4 mile, and 675 horsepower when using 93-octane gasoline. ProCharger's C8 Corvette supercharger kits were designed for daily drivers and install without complication. There is no need for additional fuel or injection systems, nor anything more than premium pump gas. The kits use the ultra-efficient P-1X or P-1SC-1 ProCharger supercharger combined with a massive air-to-water intercooler to produce the added boost, and also include a CNC billet aluminum intake manifold, CNC billet aluminum supercharger brackets, and a Stainless steel drive system. Options include a black or polished finish, and hand-laid, USA-made carbon fiber covers. Best of all, this system was designed so that the engine does NOT need to be removed from the car for installation. On top of that, ProCharger says there is no need for fabrication, or cutting any part of the car, so you can put it right back to stock should you choose that route. For those that want to push the limits, ProCharger will also be offering Stage II Tuner Kits that will support 1,000 horsepower, and have supercharger head unit options, an intake manifold with port injection, and additional pulley sizes to increase boost pressure.
