Community engagement is meaningful at every NMRA and NMCA event.
It allows local race fans to experience what both series have to offer, and racers to experience what the track and its environs offer.
With commitment and careful planning, there will be something for everyone at the 16th Annual NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals presented by Sipple's Speed & Performance, April 11-14, 2024 at Rockingham Dragway in North Carolina.
As the second NMRA event of the year and the first NMCA event of the year, the spectacle at the facility known as The Rock will feature dramatic drag racing as well as exciting entertainment, including the Top of the Rock Thrill Festival on Saturday, jet engine-powered cars, BMX Xtreme Stunt Shows, World’s Largest BIGFOOT Monster Truck, appearances by TV Personality and DJ Clarence Barnes and so much more.

This marks the third year that Meghann Lambeth, Richmond County Tourism Development Authority Executive Director, has led efforts to enhance the event’s community engagement, and worked with several local organizations to take part.
For the second year in a row, the Richmond Community College Choir will perform “The Star-Spangled Banner,” led by Dr. Kimberly Goard, a Richmond Community College Associate Professor and Choir Director, during the opening ceremony on April 13, and for the first time at this event, Darryl Kelly, retired Army Major and Richmond Senior High School Senior Army Instructor, and his JROTC students, will present the flag during the opening ceremony on April 13.

Additionally, students from Richmond Senior High School and the Dungeon Boxing Club in Rockingham will return to the event at Rockingham Dragway for another year to help display sponsor banners and park cars before assisting in clean-up on the final day of the event.
“Now in the third year, this already well-established event in the drag racing world has become well-known and anticipated in our community,” said Lambeth. “In keeping with a motorsports theme, this organization operates seamlessly like a finely tuned machine, which is truly remarkable to witness. Steve Wolcott, Rollie Miller and everyone with the NMCA and NMRA crew go well beyond running a world-class weekend-long event. They really make a sincere effort to incorporate the community. Needless to say, we are super excited about the second weekend in April.”
