While most NMRA and NMCA action takes place in the Eastern half of the United States, once a year both series converge at the Gateway to the West to race for the rings in the NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Muscle Car Drag Racing.

The excitement at this event at World Wide Technology Raceway continued to build through the weekend.

The 16^th annual Chevrolet Performance LSX Shootout was celebrated during the 2022 NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street-Legal Drag Racing, which was held at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway in Madison, Illinois, on May 12-15, and it continued to show just how popular the LS engine platform still is after its debut in 1997.

This year, both the Holley NMRA Ford Nationals Series and Red Line Oil NMCA Muscle Car Nationals series joined forces at the 17th Annual NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street-Legal Drag Racing presented by FueLab.

The Holley NMRA Ford Nationals and Red Line Oil NMCA Muscle Car Nationals signed a three-year contract with the famed World Wide Technology Raceway as it continues building its presence in the St. Louis market through 2025. Be sure to block May 4-7, 2023 on your calendar as the official date for next year’s NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street-Legal Drag Racing.
