It's a gorgeous, cool day as the race rigs are rolling into Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Georgia, for the 11th Annual Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals Presented by MAHLE Motorsport. Today's action gets underway at noon with a test n tune session that will give us an idea of who is running well heading into qualifying. Stay tuned here for coverage throughout the day and watch the live feed over on SpeedVideo.com as the cars start ripping down the track.

Here's a breakdown of how the initial test session which kicks off with NMRA ARP Open Comp and ends with NMRA G-Force Racing Transmissions Coyote Stock will go down today.

The NMRA/NMCA team is checking all the little details, including the rollout, and prepping the surface. Total Venue Concepts is the official track prep equipment of NMRA and NMCA with sprayers, draggers, and tire rotators on-site for each event.

Racers were lined up and raring to go this morning as the gates opened at Atlanta Dragway.

The Khoury family loves Oldsmobile powerplants, but it's not often that you see one in a Mustang. Patriarch Vince oversees the program and his sons Rocko and Vince Jr. take turns driving. This weekend Rocko is behind the wheel and the FST Carburetors NA 10.5 machine is sporting a new Liberty-Bruno five-speed setup with a converter behind the 495-cube Olds big-block. The team hopes to run quicker to the 330 and have less maintenance with the new combo versus the old clutch setup.

This is the look of a man that is taking his maiden voyage behind the wheel of a VP Racing Fuels Xtreme Pro Mod. Rob Cox has history running radial cars, but this is his initial foray into a big-tire race car. He is just shaking down the car this weekend, but the Camaro runs a similar powertrain setup to that of Steve Summers potent Bow Tie 529-cube big-block, Hogan sheetmetal intake, two Precision turbos, and a Haltech EFI system. Patrick Barnhill is working his tuning magic on the EFI calibration. If things come together the way he hopes, this Camaro should run-in the 3.7- to 3.8-second range.

Jeff Frees hasn't made any mechanical changes to his Quick Fuel Technology Nostalgia Super Stock entry since the season opener, but he hopes a few tune-up tips from his engine builder will give his 1968 Plymouth Barracuda the edge to make a trip to the Aerospace Components Winner's Circle this weekend. Frees plans to swap in a new, bigger engine into the Cuda before the next race if he can get headers built in time. He also races a 2009 Challenger Drag Pak, which he said is so consistent that it just prints time slips.

Jeff Bourcier wasn't thrilled when we visited him in the pits. He pulled the intake off his Quick Fuel Technology Nostalgia Super Stock Pontiac searching for the reason it lost oil pressure. Everything looked good, so Bourcier was hoping that the pickup tube may have dropped in the pan, but he wasn't in the mood to drop it and find out.

Kevin White ran well in NMCA MagnaFuel Open Comp competition with a new engine in his 1972 Chevy Nova, but it still wasn't in top form. He installed fresh spark plugs, fresh plug wires, and changed the oil and it responded. Even with another 140 pounds in the car it ran a bit too quick in testing. He still has to reel it in for his chosen class if he hopes to make a run for the Aerospace Components Winner's Circle.
