Performance enthusiasts have plenty of reasons to be happy these days, as the big three auto manufacturers have created their most powerful engines to date. That said, enthusiasts always yearn for more performance. The good thing is that there are more companies than ever before that offer supercharger upgrades, and the engine output with any of these is astounding. Looking back to where the aftermarket supercharger market began to take off with the Fox-body Mustang, those magnificent 5.0-liter engines produced a scant 225 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque. Your basic blower upgrade would then pump that up to a tad over 300 hp and close to 400 lb-ft of torque. Fast forward to the latest Coyote-powered Mustang and you're looking at over 430 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque off the dealer lot, and aftermarket-boosted versions pumping out over 600 hp and nearly that in torque!
