NMRA/NMCA Power Festival Heading to US 131 Motorsports Park in 2021

Posted By: Event Coverage Team
The Holley NMRA Ford Nationals and NMCA Muscle Car Nationals are returning to US 131 Motorsports Park (Martin, MI) July 22-25, 2021 under a new three year contract with Michigan's fastest race track. It will be a dual event and is dubbed the NMRA/NMCA Power Festival. Jason Peterson and his US 131 Motorsports Park were gracious enough to host our displaced All-American Nationals in 2020 earlier this year. Once we got to know him and his staff, we knew we would be returning to the top notch facility, said Rollie Miller, General Manager and National Event Director at NMRA/NMCA sanctioning bodies. There is great demand for the NMRA and NMCA programs in that area as evident by the record breaking car count we experienced this past summer. Once we open the gates to fans under no restrictions, we expect this stop to be one of the best on tour. Jason Peterson is equally as excited, We were very pleased with our first event together and look forward to growing the NMRA/NMCA Power Festival. The NMRA/NMCA racers and staff are professional and run a great program, which fits in nicely at US 131 Motorsports Park. The US 131 Motorsports Park facility played host to nearly 700 cars in competition in 2020, the largest in ProMedia Events and Publishing history, with the NMRA/NMCA All-American Nationals. The combination event featured NMRA and NMCA as well as the Chevrolet Performance COPO Camaro Shootout, Ford Performance Cobra Jet Showdown, F.A.S.T. competition, and other specialty shootouts. The two factory drag racing specialty categories are heading back to Ohio with the NMCA All-American Nationals but the NMRA/NMCA are working on new features to replace them at next year's Power Festival. The NMCA Muscle Car Nationals kicks off its season in March at Bradenton Motorsports Park with a date being revealed shortly. The tour heads up the road to Atlanta Dragway, just north of Atlanta, for the NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals April 8-11, 2021 before it heads west. The caravan of horsepower junkies stops at the Gateway Arch and parks their rigs at World Wide Technology Raceway (Madison, IL) the weekend of May 13-16, 2021 for the prestigious NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street Legal Drag Racing. The tour gets back to action July 22-25, 2021 for the NMRA/NMCA Power Festival at US 131 Motorsports Park. The NMCA All-American Nationals returns to Summit Motorsports Park August 26-29, 2021 before it completes its season at Lucas Oil Raceway in September.
