NMRA/NMCA Announcement Regarding Summit Motorsports Park

Posted By: Event Coverage Team
We were recently made aware of Summit Motorsports Park decision to remain closed for 2020 and we are currently working on a solution for the NMRA/NMCA All-American Nationals. The Bader family and Summit Motorsports Park are friends and valued partners of NMRA and NMCA and we support them with this difficult and hard decision. We look forward to returning to their world-class facility in 2021, commented Rollie Miller, General Manager and National Event Director for the Holley NMRA Ford Nationals and NMCA Muscle Car Nationals. Bill Bader shared a brief statement and said a formal press release will be issued on Wednesday, I came to the realization that with 83% of my revenue lost for the year, that it no longer made financial sense to attempt to open and run the risk of losing any more money for the year. Instead, I thought, I need to cover up and live to fight another day. With my path now clear, I began the process of making calls to the parties who needed to know in advance of an announcement. Unfortunately, my decision was leaked and blew up this morning. I apologize to so many that found out through a rumor piece instead of a message directly from me. NMRA and NMCA will formally announce changes to the 2020 schedules later this week.
