NMCA’s Factory Super Cars’ Purse Packs A Punch Thanks To The Big 3

There’s nothing like watching elite muscle car rivals from Detroit’s Big Three battling it out for drag-strip supremacy in NMCA’s Holley EFI Factory Super Cars. And for those fortunate enough to win a final round and collect a Victor award, the NMCA purse packs a punch like the big V8 engines under the hood of these machines.

NMCA & Hard Drive Racing provide winners in this class a whopping $8,000 purse when they head to the Winner’s Circle, but the respective automakers sweeten the pot even further with both Ford and Chevrolet adding $1,000 to the total, while Dodge // Mopar lavishes its loyalists with an extra $10,000 for a win.

“Factory Super Cars is one of the most popular classes in NMCA racing. These racers push OEM-prepped race cars to incredible performances every race weekend,“ Rollie Miller, ProMedia General Manager, and National Event Director, said. “Having extra monetary support from the Big Three really shows how important ‘Win on Sunday, Sell on Monday’ still is today.”

Holley EFI Factory Super Cars is an eliminator designed for the Detroit-based OEM companies to compete heads-up with the 2008 and newer factory drag racing cars dubbed Chevrolet COPO, Dodge Drag Pak, and Ford Cobra Jet. It is the rebirth of factory muscle car drag racing on the quarter-mile drag strip. It is an all-run, heads-up field, NHRA Pro Ladder, on a .500 Pro Tree.

The class runs the complete Red Line Oil NMCA Muscle Car Nationals series, which launches in Orlando for the first time from March 16-19, 2023 with the 21st Annual NMCA Muscle Car Mayhem, the Red Line Oil NMCA Muscle Car Nationals series joins forces with its sister series in Rockingham, North Carolina from April 13-16, 2023 for the 15th Annual NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals. That event begins a three-event run of both series running concurrently, which is rounded out by the 18th Annual NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Muscle Car Drag Racing running from May 4-7, 2023 in Madison, Illinois, and the 3rd Annual NMRA/NMCA Power Festival in Martin, Michigan, from July 20-23, 2023. NMCA races on its own for the final two events of the season with the 22nd Annual NMCA All-American Nationals from August 25-28, 2023 in Norwalk, Ohio, and the 22nd Annual NMCA World Street Finals from September 24-27, 2023 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

With a mix of championship drag racing, index classes, street-car action, a huge car show, and a massive manufacturer’s midway, the Red Line Oil NMCA Muscle Car Nationals offers must-see events for muscle car fans across the country.
