NMCA & Chevrolet Performance Challenge Series Adjusts Point System for 2020

The NMCA and Chevrolet Performance Challenge Series Competition committee has adjusted the 2020 NMCA/CPCS point's system to reflect the new schedule due to the disruptive COVID-19 pandemic. Points will be accumulated by counting the best four out of five national events for VP Racing Lubricants Xtreme Pro Mod, ARP Nitrous Pro Street, Holley EFI Factory Super Car, Edelbrock Xtreme Street, Dart NA 10.5 Presented by Diamond Pistons, Chevrolet Performance Stock Presented by Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center, MagnaFuel Open Comp, Quick Fuel Technology Nostalgia Super Stock, Coan Stock/Super Stock, Proform Rumble, LME Street King, and EATON Detroit TrueTrac Nostalgia Muscle championship categories. Racers attending and passing tech inspection at all five national events will receive bonus points. As is tradition, every national event champion will celebrate in the Aerospace Components Winner's Circle on every stop on tour with a special champion's version during the NMCA Awards Ceremony at the Performance Racing Industry Show. The 2020 NMCA Muscle Car Nationals and Chevrolet Performance Challenge Series launched into the season with the highly successful NMCA Muscle Car Mayhem national event at Bradenton Motorsports Park in the opening weeks of March. The season restarts following the COVID-19 crisis next month, June 25-28 at Atlanta Dragway (Commerce, GA) for the Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals. The tour heads into the Midwest in the summer with the Nitto Tire NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street-Legal Drag Racing presented by HPJ Performance July 30-August 2 at World Wide Technology Raceway (Madison, IL). The action-packed Nitrous Supply NMRA/NMCA All-American Nationals is the third combo race of the year and includes the Ford Performance Cobra Jet Showdown presented by Watson Racing and the COPO Parts Direct COPO Camaro Shootout. It all happens August 27-30 at Summit Motorsports Park (Norwalk, OH). The NMCA season concludes at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis (Indianapolis, IN) for the NMCA World Street Finals presented by Chevrolet Performance over the weekend of September 24-27. As an added bonus the Chevrolet Performance LSX Shootout and Nostalgia Super Stock All-Star race have been included in the NMCA World Street Finals.
