Meziere High-Flow Electric Street Pump

Racers are always looking for “free” horsepower and one trick is the switch from belt-driven accessories to electrically driven units. While not technically free, in terms of dollars, trading a belt-driven water pump for an electric one will reduce parasitic drag on the front engine accessory drive and give you increased horsepower and torque at the wheels.

Additionally, engines create heat, but running them all out in a performance environment means having a cooling system that can keep up and that’s where a Meziere water pump can give you an edge.

For those running GM LS1 through LS6 engines in need of ample coolant flow that doesn’t create a parasitic drag on your front-end accessory drive, Meziere offers its Electric LSX High-Flow Street Pump. Designed to flow as much as 55 gallons per minute of coolant and free up 11 to 14 horsepower, this pump is a direct replacement for the factory unit. Designed to move more fluid and deliver more pressure than similar pumps, these units include an idler for seamless integration into the factory FEAD. A 185-degree thermostat is also included.
