Leah Pritchett and Don Schumacher Racing Competing With Different Kind of HEMI at NMCA | Presented by Nitto Tire

NHRA Top Fuel pilot Leah Pritchett is preparing for her NMCA competition debut this weekend at Bradenton Motorsports Park. She will be piloting a Mopar Drag Pak factory-backed racecar. The program is designed to showoff Don Schumacher Racing and their new deal as Dodge's preferred trackside supplier/vendor of Drag Pak parts. Pritchett will also be competing with her Drag Pak in the NHRA Factory Showdown eliminator, which begins next weekend during the NHRA Gatornationals at Gainesville Raceway. Managing the DSR program is 4-time NHRA Stock Eliminator champion Kevin Helms, and he will also serve as crew chief for Pritchett. The car is at Bradenton Motorsports Park testing for the 16th annual NMCA Muscle Car Mayhem this weekend. On track, Pritchett has already run 8.08 at 167 mph off-the-trailer in what is sure to be a competitive chase for the first 7-second run in NMCA Holley EFI Factory Super Cars. In fact, Holley EFI has put up a $5,000 bounty for the first racer to achieve the historic mark and will double that prize if the car is equipped with a Holley EFI engine management system. The car is equipped with a 354ci Gen III HEMI engine, which is pumped up by a Whipple 2.9L supercharger system. Pritchett shared, It's an incredible opportunity to race the Mopar Drag Pak with the full support of DSR and we are excited to promote Sportsman drag racing.
