Lava™ Hot Rod Sleeve from Heatshield Products Provides Stronger and More Flexible Heat Protection for Wiring Harnesses and Fluid Lines

Posted By: Evan J. Smith
Protecting wiring harnesses, fluid lines and other hoses and lines from heat and exposure has reached a new level with Heatshield Products new Lava™ Hot Rod Sleeve thermal barrier protective sleeves.

Constant exposure to underhood heat (especially prevalent in turbocharged applications) can increase wear on wiring, fluid lines and hoses. Overheated brake or power steering fluid can cause total loss of function, while heat-baked wiring can become brittle and prone to failure. Lava Hot Rod Sleeve protects these components from heat exposure so they stay within optimal operating temperature.

Lava Hot Rod Sleeve uses Heatshield Products specially-formulated volcanic rock-based fibers for the most effective and durable thermal barrier. It also makes the sleeve oil, fuel, chemical and acid resistant to give your components an extra level of protection. Lava Hot Rod Sleeve expands up to 15% more than its static diameter, making it easy to fit over components for installation. It comes with heat shrink material to seal the open ends, preventing hot air intrusion. Each available diameter – 1/4-, 3/8-, 1/2-, 3/4-, 1-, and 1.5-inch – comes in 10-foot rolls, with longer rolls available through custom order.

Heatshield Products has engineered and manufactured heat-barrier products for more than 35 years, serving the performance and racing industry with the highest quality products at competitive prices. The company is family owned and operated, and proudly makes its products in the USA.
