Eagle Specialty Products has expanded its line of high performance connecting rods with the introduction of their FSI I-beam rods. Forged from SAE/AISI-certified 4340 steel, Eagle's new FSI I-beam rods are a high-strength, lighter weight, and lower cost alternative to their H-beam rod design. The new FSI I-beams are equipped with 7/16-inch ARP 8740 bolts and silicon-bronze bushings for performance and racing applications. Eagle took great care to ensure that big end sizing was performed with Sunnen's Krossgrinding system for perfect, consistent sizing. Recommended for use up to approximately 750 horsepower in small block applications or 850 horsepower in big block applications, Eagle's FSI I-beam rods are available in 5.700- and 6.000-inch sizes for Chevy small block, and 6.385-inch for Chevy big-block motors.
