The sponsorship began with the first event in early March and will continue when the series restarts next month with the Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center NMRA/NMCA Power Festival presented by HPJ Performance May 28-31 at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway. Incredibly powerful naturally aspirated engines are the main attraction in the Dart NA 10.5 presented by Diamond Pistons category. Often times small-block engines will scream to over 10,000 rpm while big-block engines are utilizing some of most efficient induction systems ever designed and built for conventional engine combinations. Once the racers have a powerful engine combination the challenge shifts to transferring the power to the track efficiently as the contact patch for the rear tires is a mere 10.5-inches. With the class requiring natural aspiration it puts an extreme emphasis on the engine builder.
