7-Time NMCA Champion Andy Warren Talks About Success With Fuelab

Posted By: nmrasalesdept
The most successful racer in NMCA history, Andy Warren, and his big blue Chevy Caprice have become regulars in the Aerospace Components Winner's Circle. Warren and his machine race in the competitive Detroit Truetrac Nostalgia Muscle Car category and have amassed an amazing seven championships. Warren's 1971 Chevrolet Caprice is powered by a Knieriem Racing Engines powerplant with a displacement of 434 cubic inches. The potent engine is backed by an Ultimate Converter Concepts torque converter and a Bilby Automotive-built Turbo 350 automatic transmission. While the car has undergone as many weight-savings measures as possible, it's still no lighweight, but hustles down the track to high-9-second elapsed times with Warren running either a 10.0 or 10.25 index. With just two races left in the 2019 season, Warren holds a commanding 520-point lead in the battle for the Detroit Truetrac Nostalgia Muscle Car championship. In order to be such a successful racer, Warren has had to hone his own race craft on and off the track, but he also must have dependable, and repeatable equipment to be able to win round after round of competition. ProMedia director of marketing and content, Mike Galimi, recently caught up with Warren to discuss his winning ways, as well as talk about some of the components from Fuelab that he has come to rely on year after year. Fuelab, of course, is know for its high-quality, brushless fuel pumps and other ancillary fuel system components, and Warren is one of many NMCA racers who has come to use the company's products.
