Now 54 years old, Copeland's youth was predominantly focused around his father, Billy Copeland Sr. He was always working and racing and hot rodding. He could fix anything, remembered Copeland of his hero. The younger man grew up learning about tools, helping work on projects with his father, and going to the track.
