16th Annual NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street-Legal Drag Racing Presented by HPJ Performance Car Show By Steve Turner Photos by the FSC staff In spite of the spotty forecast and eventual bad weather, owners of fine examples of American muscle braved he elements to show off their rides at the 16th Annual NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street-Legal Drag Racing Presented by HPJ Performance. With wide array of vehicles on hand, ranging from a 1923 T-bucket to a 2020 Dodge Challenger, the judges had their hands full picking the most outstanding rides on display at World Wide Technology Raceway in Madison, Illinois. In the end, the deserving owners collected their hardware before the rain came falling down and headed home with the spoils of victory. Ron Feldman of St. Peters, Missouri, was all smiles under the car show tent, as he took home not one but two awards. His 1957 Nomad scored both the Best GM and Best of Show honors at the 16th Annual NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street-Legal Drag Racing Presented by HPJ Performance. Big thanks to the Southern Illinois Mustang association for hosting the car show at World Wide Technology Raceway. Kelly Meyer of Marthasville, Missouri earned the Best Paint & Body honors on the merits of the finish applied to her 1967 Fairlane. Rex Eisenhauer of West Frankfort, Illinois, nabbed the Best Ford of Show with his 2011 Mustang. The car show featured a raffle, and a few lucky winners drove home with a wash bucket filled with Mothers detailing products to keep their cars clean and shiny for the next show. Tracy Gustafson of Nashville, Illinois, rumbled away with the Best Chrysler of Show honors in his 2020 Challenger. Congrats to all the winners who gathered to celebrate their victories with trophies in hand at the conclusion of the show.
