There is plenty to see when the NMCA Muscle Car Nationals series rolls into town. From the World’s Fastest Street cars on the drag strip to some of the coolest cars in town on the show field, these events are a gearhead’s playland. For those looking for tech support or new go-fast hardware, however, the manufacturer’s midway is the place to be.
Thanks to Mike Copeland of Arrington Performance, there will be several more companies joining his outfit on the property this season to help enthusiasts research and purchase upgrades for their machines. Those companies include Centerforce Clutches, Classic Instruments, E3 Spark Plugs, FST Carburetors, GForce Performance, Kooks Headers & Exhaust, Moser Engineering, QA1, and Redline Oil.
“They’re all companies I’ve worked with and they have to be somebody that I’m willing to put my personal reputation and my personal brand,” Copeland told us. “So every company in this industry is not that way, but I’ve used all these guys’ stuff forever. Before I owned shops and companies, I was buying their product, so it’s a natural for us to use it and then put it on the rig.”
When the Arrington trailer made is debut at the 18th Annual NMCA Muscle Car Mayhem presented by Holbrook Racing Engines the crowds were certainly receptive to the massive support from the aftermarket. It also seems as though there is interest for other aftermarket outfits to join the monstrous midway display.
“I approached I think a total of 18 companies, and I have nine on the truck. I’m still getting calls from people that they want to, so we may do a second rig,” Copeland added.
Onboard the Arrington big rig there is room for all the individual companies’ displays as well as a selection of parts from each outfit. There is even room for a display vehicle or two. So if you are heading out to an event this season and you need parts or advice from any of these companies both will be in ready supply on the midway, as the Arrington trailer is scheduled to attend all NMCA events, as well as other big events like the Hot Rod Power Tour.
