| 2008 NMCA CLASS SHOOTOUTS
The NMCA is pleased to recognize and reward its top-8 heads-up competitors in each class with an opportunity to race for some bonus money each year. The top eight (8) racers in points for the 2007 event season in NMCA’s heads-up classes will automatically be qualified to participate in their class shootout in 2008 (no entry fee for racers participating in the shootout). Every year the class shootouts create additional excitement and encourage a strong effort to finish the year in the top eight. If any of the top eight qualified racers are unable to attend the shootouts, then the next in order (9, 10, 11, etc.) will be able to participate to ensure full fields and great competition.
The shootouts will be run during qualifying for each event. With eight cars the shootouts will consist of exactly three rounds of eliminations. This is the exact number of qualifying rounds offered at each NMCA event. Each of the three elimination rounds will count towards qualifying for the actual event. The winner of the shootouts will be recognized during Sunday's starting line ceremonies.
