points system

I don't run True Street, but I do know there are quite a few regulars that make the same travel that the rest of the regulars make. It would be nice to see them rewarded with a points system and possible contingency just like the rest of the classes.

It would have been nice when I raced most of them.... I would have like to seen where I finished in 2004 (I think or was it 2003)....

I'd still like to see a Sunday shootout for these guys.... I am all full of ideas, but it isn't my show...

That's a cool idea too. A local track here does it round robin til the last one standing. The faster car doesn't always win.

It sounds good to me but they are trying to keep it from getting to out of control as far as money and expense to run the class. So if they give no money then only guys who like to still race locally for fun will show up. If they post contingency then it will get more expensive and harder for the entry level guy to compete. I would think that is the reason for all the 10,11,12 second awards though.

shootout

It would be nice to see a shootout on sunday, if the participant didn't want to enter the shootout they could enter the bracket race instead..

AS far as points winner goes it could just be a gift card to a sponsor....better than nothing.

T/S points

I am a regular true street racer and truly love the class, but only pure of heart T/Sretters will stick it out with so little recognition and respect for our class. The class needs a little something more to spice it up. Yes it is for the locals to join in and race, but for the regulars in the class, who are all members, a simple thing such as a point system and even recognition at the end of year awards cerimony would really spark up the class. I believe it would even get more of the so called locals to join the NMRA and thus more revenue. Then the idea of a bracket race of the T/S raceers is also very interesting to me, sence I am an old bracket racer myself. Two little ideas that can make a big difference. Pro voice, please work on something different for our class, it needs some spicing up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
