NSS Added To Lone Star Shootout

In light of the popularity of Nostalgia Super Stock racing in the Gulf States, the NMCA announced today that they have added Nostalgia Super Stock cars to the lineup at the Nitto Tire NMCA/NMRA All Star Nationals at Houston Raceway Park November 12-14.
The purse for this event will be based on 100-payout, determined by the number of driver (only) entries at the event.

Payout info:

For 24 or less cars

100% of the NSS driver's admission will be distributed 50% to the Winner, 25% to the Runner Up, and the other 25% to those who didn't advance out of the Semis (12.5% if two drivers and the whole 25% if there was only one because of a BYE.)

For 25 or more cars

The Winner would get 45%, the Runner Up would get 25%, the Semis split 15%, and the quarters split 15%. More drivers — more money AS 100% of the DRIVER's ENTRIES GO TOWARD THE PURSE. If we were to get 50 cars — there would be some killer purses for 8 of the racers.

Thank Big Kahuna for helping make this happen.

Thanks to Scott, Trey, and I think it was Jason (or was it Aaron?) who listened to reason and saw NSS was added. I hope the NSS Drivers don't let us down for sticking our necks out.

Is this open to all?.........even NON NMCA members?....or does everyone have to pony up membership for one race?

Good Question

Since most of the NMCA races are too far for most of the Texas Outsiders to go to (since Memphis was moved another couple hundred miles north) and since this is a non-Championship points race, I think NMCA should treat this like they would the bracket race and not make the guys who can only make this single NMCA race have to pony up another $75 membership (effectively doubling the entry fee) for just the one race. There are also quite a few NSS cars that left the NMCA to run Schnieder's series -- here's a chance to win a few back. We're maybe only talking about ten of the NSS racers who aren't NMCA members who might come to this, and times are tough for a couple of them that this would be a deal breaker.

Trey?

On the web site http://www.nmcadigital.com/directions/event8.php you're giving directions to Beechbend and not HRP.

Also, on the NMCA site -- the schedule says NMRA and not NMCA. http://www.nmcadigital.com/schedule/event8.php

It was me...at least I think it was...

I'm fairly certain membership will not be required, I'll confirm no later than Monday.

The websites are currently being redesigned, something must have got mixed up on the track directions and all the NMRA references are probably just cut and pasted from 09. I'll get that fixed as well.

Sorry man -- I remember is was either a late night or early morning chat on Facebook on the subject -- and had a big personal problem I was concerned with at the same time, interfering with my focus.

I really appreciate those in the NMCA who supported the idea of NSS at this event.
