NMRA & PRO Spec Fuel Information for 2004 Season
Santa Ana, CALIF. -- The NMRA-Denso Ford Drag Racing Series and PRO-Edebrock Drag Racing Series have released the 2004 approved spec fuels for the upcoming season.
For the 2004, Spec Fuels will be required to be run in the following classes:
NMRA:
Factory Stock
Pure Street
Real Street
Hot Street
PRO:
Mean Street
Cheap Street
Pro Stock
The approved list of fuel is as follows:

Turbo Mach 100 Unleaded
Mach 114
Mach 116
Sunoco Racing Fuels - www.racegas.com :
Sunoco GT Plus Unleaded, 104 Octane
Sunoco Blue Supreme 112 Octane
Sunoco Red Maximal 116 Octane
For NMRA Factory Stock, Pure Street, Real Street; and PRO Cheap Street and Mean Street, only Torco Mach 100 UNL or Sunoco GT Plus Unleaded are permitted. Hot Street & Pro Stock may choose from any of the available fuels on the permitted list.
For the 2004 season, despite a lot of effort by both parties, VP Racing Fuels has elected at this time to not post contingency or continue as a NMRA or PRO spec fuel.
To ease the transition period, VP C10 Unleaded, will be accepted for the first two events of the NMRA & PRO schedules, for all classes. After the first two events, all VP Racing Fuels (including C10) will no longer be an acceptable spec fuel for use in 2004.

As with 2003, in 2004 the Approved Spec Fuels are required to be utilized for all competitors in the above spec fuel classes, and a supply is not always available on-site due to track rules and regulations.
