The LSX shootout is bound to bring some new players. I will run True Street but will not be shooting for the overall win, more of a class win

Heavy hitters? Man, we have had a few BIG players in Memphis in the past. Four-time champ and the current King of Tennessee, Frank Savage will be a force to be reckoned with as will 2-time champ, former King of Tennessee Dan Shipley from St. Louis. Let's not forget Sticker Dude's 8-second Jeep holds a pair of TS crowns as well.Savage, Shipley and Zoetmulder are all capable of ripping off mid eight-second ET's. Terry Herbert and Barret White are pulling off the gloves and rumor has it we may even see that big Vitamin C Orange 1970 Road Runner of Blake Highsmith back in action. If Tom Heatley can ever pull himself away from the damned putting green and actually work on his car, we may even see a potential low 8-second 1969 Camaro. (Love ya, Tom! :) )
Memphis typically has not had a large True Street field, but the quality of the cars is first-rate. Nowhere else will you find such a precisely escorted cruise by the local police department. The 30-mile cruise is an absolute blast and I recommend taking as many people in your car as you can for the show the officers put on. The motorcade is one befitting a president and I think the Memphis police enjoy it as much as the competitors do. I envy Mike Bruns as he gets to go on the cruise and I don't... Damn the luck!
The competitors in True Street are what make the class so special. If you have never run TS with NMCA you are missing some of the best people in drag racing. Take a moment and introduce yourself to Terry, Barrett, Frank, Blake and his dad, Brian, and all the rest of the TS field. You will NOT find a more accomodating group. Sure, there is a bit of smack talk, but it is all tongue-in-cheek and the hospitality in the TS pits is first rate.
I will see you all there!
Ooops... I almost forgot. Be sure and bring a gas can for Paul Kwiatkowski. The Yenko Nova lives, but it sure is thirsty!

I shoot a decent round of golf for a guy who just started in March. I did it right and took some lessons. I shoot high 80s low 90s.. Im hoping to be low 80s by next year..
