I am asking this for a friend with little money but he would really like to try legal racing. The Cordova race is very close for him but not worth the drive to be sent home.
If a True Street car techs in, makes the cruise and back to back passes would he be DQ'ed if those runs broke into the high 9's? The car only has a roll bar and he would not have an NHRA license. I probably already know the answer because it's a "safety issue" but this is a street car and to install a cage would destroy the sleeper look.
This is the same issue that I struggled with. After being told on countless occasions to "keep it in the tens" I broke down and built a legal race car. Just hoping you would take pity on us poor folk.

Thanks
Dave

Dave,

Your friend will be DQ'ed if he runs faster that 10.00 seconds. This is a NHRA rule that must be followed.
