I have a 73 Camaro that I am building for the street. It has a 400 ci motor in it when I got it that had just been rebuilt. Would I be able to run the NMC class with this motor or not. The biggest motor that it could have came with was a 350. But does the "engine must resemble the same family of motor" rule let me run the 400 if I declare it to be 400ci.

Thanks for the help,
Thrasher

Thrasher, you are good to go with the 400. C.I. doesnt matter as long as it is the style engine block that came in the car in that time frame. i.e. You cant have a 64 Ford with a 460 in it because they came out with the FE headed 390-427 etc. So any 283-400 type block will be fine in your car (aftermarket or not).

Hope to see you at a race soon!
