I sent you a pm , but I'll post it here as well:

Ok, we are starting to get close, hoping to make the Bowling Green
race. The car is going to chassis shop tonight for a weekend mini
tub for tire clearance. I have a couple questions.
I'm going to have to notch the rear frame rail for tire clearance,
if I have to notch more than 1/2 way thru, then I'd like to add
some beef to the inside of the frame rail to get the strength
back. In reading the rules, I don't think I am allowed to do this,
correct? So in other words, minor notching is allowed.

Also I want to take advantage of the stock suspention 50 weight
break. It is my understanding that I can not use a coil over
rear shock. Am I correct on this also?? But I am allowed to
move the stock location of the spring(in front of the axle)
over a little for tire clearance.

I tried to send an e-mail with photos, but it bounced back.

Thank You in advance.

Brian,

You can notch the rear frame rail for tire clearance. You have to keep the inside of the rear frame stock and unaltered. You can add material to the inside frame for reinforcement.

If you want the 50lb break you can not use coil overs, and you can move the springs inward.

Ok, Thanks Mike, Moving the spring inward only nets me 3/8 inch,
not nearly enough to clear the maximum tire that is allowed, I'm
going to have to go to a coil over shock to get the 29.5 X 10.5
tires under the car with a 10" rim. Thanks and I'll see you at the
Martin race.
