Well it looks like Im going to miss out on Bradenton. Some of you guys know that I was experiencing problems with the F2 this winter after upgrading from the F1R. The car ran good at the Thanksgiving thunder down in HATTIESBURG qualifying 5th with a 5.40 @ 132 but was chewing the teeth off the belts. The problem was a bridge inside the blowers transmission. At high RPMs it was binding up . Which was like the blower trying to put on the brakes and the crank still building speed. Thus the weak link the belt teeth just got peeled like an orange. The piece was redesigned and the new upgraded blowers are due to come out in APRIL. Procharger graciously upgraded me to an F3 since I didnt want to wait and possibly miss the season if they didnt actually come out on time in APRIL. Well installing the F3 has turned into a nightmare and Im not willing to cut hack and reconfigure everything that needs to be done for another blower.
I shipped them back my F2 bracket and pulleys when they did the upgrade for me. My bracket was already drilled and tapped for my brace and machined to clear the F2 blower boss . The crank pulley was already drilled for my 6 balancer mounted studs. Im waiting to hear back from them if they still have my stuff and want to ship it back to me for the F3 back. Im crossing my fingers the new blowers are out in APRIL but in any event I wont be ready for the opener. I guess someone else will have to claim that 10 second prize..:D

Hell to win that 15 second award you gotta outperform the impala from FLA.. That guys got that thing running 15.0s like nobodys business!!!! Ill actually know today if they want to give me back my old stuff . If not, I might just go ahead and put a 106MM turbo on the car. But that would put me out of commission until JULY... Ill keep ya posted.

Those F3s are BIG. I couldn't imagine one in the Nova. I had trouble trying to figure out the F2 when I was leaning that way. If you are out of commission Tom you can come help me out. I will give you a shirt.

I like the logo Mark.. DId you have shirts made with that too? Who designed that? Definitely awesome...

Yeah the F3 was gonna stick out of the hood 3". I would have had to remount the alternator somewhere else, It was about hitting the upper control arm, Crank pulley was so big I was gonna have to put the radiator in between the rad support and grill. Just too much BS for me to be worth it. Not to mention I dont want to have to fiberglass a blower bump into my hood . Im seriously thinking that to keep the car USABLE on a regular basis at this level Im going to have to put a turbo on it. My car never gets hot or anything on the street but man is the exhaust LOUD.. Its to the point where its annoying, not to mention a cop magnet.

I have seen them sticking out of the hood. I really don't care for that too much. I was looking at using the same mount Paul has and then running split radiators, one each side of the opening. Lots of work.

The guy who did my logo is here..........www.fisherairbrush.com. He does good work. I am in the process of having shirts done but there is a ton of colors. I am getting rid of the black circular background on the shirts to keep the "weight" and heat of all ink down so your back doesn't sweat so much. The one you see here would be for vinyl.

Yeah but try finding somewhere that will screen print less than 144 shirts and that has between 7 and 9 colors. Ugh.
