I have searched all of the rules and not located the specs for fuel in True Street. Are there any limits?
Thanks

What Marc said.... Run what you can afford to burn....

Thanks for the info!
If a car could average 10.60's......would this be capable of running mid pack?
Thanks

For the most part yes.... The cars in Maple Grove fly, but the NMCA is not making that trip this year....
Remember there is a 10.0 award and an 11.0 award.... I usually slow my Vette down to 12.0 (even though it has run 10.80s) due to tech requirements....
Awards are - Winner, Runner-UP and Closest 3 lap average to -10.0, 11.0, 12.0, 13.0, 14.0, 15.0
Hope this helps

I think they now need a 9 second award winner and also maybe an award for the quickest pass if your car successfully completes all 3 passes.

As for fuel, as long as it isn't nitromethane or propylene oxide, bring it!
10.60's are respectable and I suspect to see TONS of 10-second cars this year as NHRA is instituting a diaper rule on cars 9.99 and quicker. I know how racers hate parting with their hard-earned dough, so I would be willing to wager some will slow their cars down rather than fork over the moolah for a diaper. I do know that in Div 5, the 2007 diaper rule will only be enforced on Super Comp and Super Gas cars. I don't know what the other divisions are doing for the 2007 season, but it looks like for 2008, ALL 9.99 and quicker cars will require a diaper.
It will be nice to have a new face in the staging lanes and I look forward to meeting you.

That is not possible!
I didn't know you were still on here Ron. Good to see you.

Hi Ron, thanks for the welcome
I have been trading emails with Jake Matisto (great guy)about my car. It is a unique approach, and while it fits all of the rules, it may conflict with the "spirit" of one of the rules. Hopefully, I can get the OK and I will tryto race. Hoping to go to Bowling Green and Columbus.
If you have any say in the rules, perhaps you can speak with Jake and see if we can get it cleared.
Thanks
Dave

We have had everything from pickup trucks to SUV's to a Toyota MR2... I don't think you will have anything that is not within the "spirit" of the rules unless it runs on rocket fuel and you have to start it with a match!

Match no, but it does seem to have a short wick! :D
