I'm going Big Block and adding an anti-roll bar. What's the rest of the Open Compers doing this winter?

Open Comp or not I'm probably stepping at least one of my trucks up with
a Nitrous Express assisted turbo-charger for 2007.
I might have to hire a hitman driver also, to compete with all the super
tuff compition in the Open Comp class.
I look forward to seeing everyone in Bradenton.

John,
Sounds like your ET slips are in for a change:eek:
After you install the anti roll bar you will wonder why you didn't do it sooner.
That is how my deal was.
How are the other Indy boys doing?

Should be better than the air bag in the right spring:D
Lilly is getting his car ready and should hit a few races, Laws is going to ditch the Southsides and put some better bars on, but he's married now so we will see....lol. Doyle is working to get his body shop up and running, so he will most likely not race this coming year.

Hey gang!:)
Not much new on this end. Just working on the car every now and then. I was going to a powerglide with a brake, but not winning a NMCA race last year took all of my money. It's a good thing I won a few local bracket races to cover some of the cost.
No snow here, yet. The local tracks open up in 2 or 3 weeks, weather permitting, which is when the snow and ice will start. I thought about yall up north when they were talking about the ice and snow on the weather channel.

While you are at it on the tranny, let's get a third pedal hanging in the Nova:D
Come on Steve, I know you would be good at driving it.

Chilli:
Still up north, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, cold country. Busy building a rec/spa room for my crew chief "Meridy". Race car parts scattered over 3 states. I have trannies and converter, Les is refreshing my motor, race car and trailer and box of parts in southern Illinois. Plan on gathering everything up and building car with the intention of running Bradenton. OC or ST?? Later....

Don't believe him! I saw the updated car first hand. Blown 632, full four link, Bruno, the works. It's already run 6.90s in testing. He's going to kill it the first 330', it should run 9.0s @ 210mph.
He pawned his championship ring to pay for all of this!

Cold and snowing here in Ohio. Going to swap the Victor JR intake for an Air Gap, fix a couple of small leaks and new slicks, as soon as it warms up. The girls got me a practice tree with a footbrake for Christmas probably won't help but it keeps the old man amused. Parker has been busy helping a local kid with his Mustang and Swisher is finishing a paint job on Parkers Dad's truck. Thats about it for now.

Hey Jeff Swanson, I don't know Steve personally, but that had me rockin off the chair, "pawned his ring" full bore to the 300 mark and hit 210:D NHRA super gas is what it sounds like it will run:) :)
I am installing a GE J-39 kerosene jet engine in my 72 Elky, it should run 10's then? @ 280mph:)
Elky is getting a rebuilt same 505 engine that had a small booboo in 06, new Alum Dart heads, new crank trigger, new 7AL2 box, new Edelb. Super intake, new carb, and 32:1 comp.:D , that'll make it go, and ya, and I have Caterpiller Diesel pistons in it now:) Found a cracked head in 06 and just too much head also, and resetting the rear suspension drag bar and relocating control arm locations. This should make it run a lot better, if not, I'll have to put a small block in the bed, just to move the big block in the front:rolleyes:
See you all in Columbus.

oh man, that reminds me............
I haven't gotten my ring yet, so I could not have pawned it. It had NMCA on top and NMRA on the side so they kept it and I'm suspose to get a corrected one...

Check the Cash America Pawn down on Summer Ave. They sent me your ring by mistake, and I needed parts......sorry! :o

Gee Thanks Jeff. I hope you got alot for it..........It cost me several thousand dollars to earn it.
Has Danyele got her bags packed for Bradenton yet?:)

No need for bags yet. We don't have anything that resembles a race car right now. Hard to get very worked up without rules.
Sucks about your ring, hope you get it soon!

Hey Andy, if I run the hood can I just wear a torn up fire jacket and shorts instead?...I have a feeling Kevin is going to make some improvements, he made it the home track for OSCA so I'm sure he'll try to make it a bit better for those big dollar cars. I heard a rumor last year he was going to extend the shut down area and put down some more blacktop in the pits. I know he had already moved the tree and was in the process of putting in 330' timers (finaly). That could be a nice track with some time and a few bucks and its a helluva lot better than it was a few years ago.
