Hey Gene. We'll be in for 6 or so events this year. Can't wait for Florida. Car is apart right now so I've got some long nights ahead. We've been fortunate enough to gain some great sponsors to help offset expense.:)
Flames look Cool!!!!:D

Did anybody else notice that Weld quit paying contingency in OC? or did I mis read the contingency matrix. Lots of cars in OC run weld wheels.
What would be the correct course of action to get them to rethink this?

Thanks for the compliment on the "new look" FlashBack!
The car's been the same (except for decal placements) since 1991 and it was time for a bit of a change...still like the Grabber Blue too much to make any wholesale change though.
Hoping to be able to get to 4 to 6 events this season...plus we've got a few local Open Comp events that we help put on as well at Cedar Falls Raceway and Tri-State Raceway both tracks here in Iowa.
See ya...probably not in Florida though...unfortunately!!
Gene
ps....still waiting on a contingency check...I've called the manufacter themselves...still waiting...have you had all of yours taken care of??? Anyone else?????
Hey Larry....The computers working pretty well since the Screen was cleaned :D

Which ones are you waiting on? Weld??? Anyway I have been paid by all. Took some much longer than others but all have paid.
Let me know if it is Weld I have a contact name for them. I am going to call in the morning and talk to them about dropping contingency in OC. I hope they will reconsider.

Had Weld's for years on the car...switched to Bogarts....BOOM! Weld becomes a contingency sponsor...just my luck!
No, it wasn't Weld...I've talked to the manufacterer in question and I've been told a few checks weren't taken care of back in August and that the check was sent last week...
I phoned all of the ones we were waiting for in Sept (race was in July)...they started filtering in from that point on...up until December actually.

Didn't get a chance to head down to the swapmeet today ( I was up to Joe's place, Midnight Machining, getting the 383 stuff sorted out)...Terri went with the CFR schedule and banquet tickets (did ya get some of each?)...could've yacked with ya there...if you were there again that is?
Anyway...the races are open to all brands as long as they meet the rules...mainly: door cars only, no delayboxes etc...just check on the PRO Open Comp rules and your about there except we have had an upper ET limit as well as the 9.10 lower limit.
In fact a BowTie brand vehicle won the Fall race last year...I slipped up in the semi's.
Catch ya later,

Had to pass on the Dart block for now...coming up with enough for the rest of the required parts is going to be rough enough. Trying to have it buttoned up sometime in March as well.
See ya at the banquet.

I don't know what I'll run this year Pro or NMRA, the VP ordeal is somewhat upsetting. I would like to use my car as it was ment to be used in Pro Stock or Hot Street, & I have 40 gal of VP C14+ at $8.75 a gal.
I have an event in Fargo in August & also looking at www.naturaloutlaws.com anything thats all motor stuff. I'll do a few O/C stuff with you guys, I mite put together a differnt motor just for O/C duty.
WFC for shure, Igot a room booked all ready & I think I'll do some testing in St Louis before hand.
I have been real busy at work so I don't know what the race season will be like.
Later Mark

Mark,
Yeah, we're going to have to see what $$ is available to travel with this season but hoping to make the WFC, a few of the PRO races, and if possible an NMRA event too.
The P/Stk H/S classes are out of the budget for us...made it to one event in that class and I'm glad we took a shot albeit with a wounded engine...
As far as your fuel situation goes I can sympathize...we'd bought a drum of Sunoco a few years back and then they announced that the spec fuels were to be VP and Torco.
Good luck with your program!!
We'll see ya at the tracks!!
G-Block.
