just bring the Zues tool and line wrench for me to use as i always forget anyway, that and i don't want to get caught with loose ballast in the car. we want fuel from the entry point to the carb/injector rails, but we don't have tools for you to use at the tech area, we want you to drive down the track with these in your car or put a fitting/petcock to allow you to get the fuel from. that and we want you to go in the engine compartment to get fuel right after you get done running and have some chance of splashing fuel on a hot header that could possibly ignite. I understand why they want it from there, but don't understand why safety is not first for us.

Well we would have come to the last race but here is the e-mail i got from mike and i was told that no one other than the driver was to take the hood of and we have a valve on the rail its the getting off of the hood thats the problem and we will not come back till this is set right ?
I need to know if you are still sticking to the fact that gina has to get the fuel sample her self and take the hood of her self ?
Thanks Lance
We will see about the hood deal.

These are supposed to be street cars, that hood should have hinges and you wouldnt have a problem :D

Lance,
Have your crew help Gina with the hood in tech. A hinged or tilt hood would be the best way to fix your problem. Its hard to believe a simple hinge stopped you from making the trip???????
If you were unhappy with the e-mail.............. "We will see about the hood deal." You could have wrote back.
Now that I saved you hunderds of dollars in fuel cost, (not going to MG) you can now buy that first round you have promised, before the season started.

sounds good
i think they want the driver to do the dirty deed...
in other words be responsible for who, what, when.where the fuel that came from your car gets to the tech tent..
this way there can be no ...issues as to the legitimacy of the fuel and who is responsible if it doesnt pass inspection..
no grey area as to how or who got the fuel from the entrants car over to tech..
thats the way i see it...
best of luck
jim
