any ideas on who makes the best alluminum drive shaft
for a 3500 lb X/S car

In my opinion, Precision Shaft Technology produces the finest aluminum driveshaft. I used a PST driveshaft in an EFI Renegade car making 760rwhp for three seasons without a failure. The car weighed approx 3340lbs.

The additional wieght and power of your combo is a concern. Nonetheless, give them a call and see what they recommend.
