Nitrous will be used. Also I have coilovers, will the suspension still be considered stock.

emoutra,

For the 377 the weight comes in at 3290 lbs (17 cubes over base X 8.5 = 3294.5 rounded down to 3290) and the 406 weight will be 3300 ( 6 cubes X 8.5 + 3250 = 3301, rounded down to 3300) and the base weight is car and driver.

emutra,

You can use the coil overs, and still get the 50 lbs weight break.

Does anything between a 406 & 415 still get to weigh 3300lbs.

No, you must add 8.5 lbs to every cubic inch over base cubic inch.

The minimum weight for a 415 is 3300 but if I built for instance a 412 I would have to weigh 3352lbs (12 * 8.5 + 3250). So does a 412 carry a heavier weight than the 415. Or is 3300lbs still my minimum weight.

Basicly the same question
I will be running a Supercharged 383.
As I read the rules? the min weight would be 3496lbs
If it was 400CI, the min weight would be 3400?????

It costs me 100lbs to have a smaller motor?

Thanks for any answers/explinations

George

with the 383 blower you have to be 3400#;)

well i just got the final ruling on the coil overs not allowed with the 50# stock break

Lance,

If you are going to run the stock suspension, to get the 50lb weight break, you cannot add coilover shocks.

Everybody,

Let me start off with this: I screwed up twice, one bad and one not so bad. Here you go!

Adding coilovers to a "stock suspension" will NOT get the 50lb weight break.

As for the 8.5lb per cubic inch penalty, here it goes. If you add the 8.5 lb penalty, and exceed the next higher base weight, you stay at the next higher base weight.

example: 400 ci = 3250lbs
414 ci = 3300lbs not 3369lbs
415 ci = 3300lbs

George 30th Ani,

Your 383 would weight 3400 not 3495

Haskell,

You will receive the 50lb weight break.
