what is going to happen when the nhra certification rules change. for example my car is certified to go 7.50 the new rule i believe will make that 8.50. exstreme street cars are going over 150 mph in the 8.30s and 20s. when the nhra rules change is everyone going to have to spend 15 to 20 thousand on a new chassis what kind of street car is that. i am asking you because i am just about to build a motor for the class. will i have a car with no class. i see the end of a great class coming correct me if im wrong

The new rules will only apply after you chassis expires. In 2005 all new recert. will be only cert to 8.50's unless it been 25.5 updated. I just got mined recert. on 18th so my chassis is good til Dec. 2007 with old rules to 7.50's. Zoop

with the # we run at in X/S you should have the 25.5 or even better 25.2 its not safe at 170 and 3300 plus pounds with your old cage just food for thought:)
