I would like to know the rules regarding the ford mod motors in the extreme street class. thanks

Tim,

As far as the current rules go, the mod motor would not be allowed.

I and my Chassis shop see nothing in the current rules that states a mod motor would not be allowed. and the heads section says any production head. please explain.

Tim,

If you look at 1.17k) Allowed cylinder head list: The following cylinder heads are the ONLY accecpted versions for the Extreme Street class.

If a mod motor head was on the list, then it would be allowed.

well lets add it. I don't see why we can't run a motor that is so small cid wise? my big bore motor is 304 cid? what can we do about this. Will you guys please look into this? thanks

I want some 4 valve heads for my small block its only 347 ci but if they run at the same # its not fair say he runs some 2 vavle heads :D

The preliminary 2005 rules are out and the mod motor was not added.

Thanks alot for all your help in this matter. I hope for this series sake you don't take care of the other new racers like this. I know a huge motor like mine(304cid) would be a serious threat to some of the big block car on juice. oh ya also the extra 16 valve would probably make all the difference. again thanks
