Ill base this on the atlanta event.
does pro award points for contestant's who show up and tech and the event if it gets rained out.
it would seem to me that if a contestant makes the trip and shows up .. tech the car then the event is cancled ..
we will not recieve a refund ...
we should recieve a set number of points ...
just for being there ..
this will affect the years total point standings and i beleve should be awarded..
this way if some one didnt show would recieve no points towards the years total..
this makes sense to me.

Going by what happened at the NMRA Maple Grove race last year, no one was awarded points, but i believe they were allowed to count that race as one of the 2 they could drop points from, or that race didnt count at all and they were allow to drop points from 2 other races. ( i cant remember which). Also the racers that attended could send in for a voucher and could use that towards the next race. At least that way they didnt have to pay again, im not sure if that was good for spectators/crew. Someone please correct me if i am wrong :) Sorry i have probably made things more confusing lol.
