You mentioned power after second round in Memphis. I would like to go over the numbers with you and show you the difference between power and aero.

No I think your mistaken, the 1/8 mile time is the difference between a powerglide and a three speed.:eek: The backhalf is the power difference!!

uhhhhh.

Your pass you posted is beating Jeff from start to finish.
Kevins pass has Jeff beating Kevin out of the hole, Kevin passing him, then when aerodynamics are taking over, Jeff passing Kevin again.

How did you miss that point?

But the answer to your statement is not aero but maybe all of the timing has ramped in and its starting to drive away from you... Which would mean that the power has came in and you can't deal with it ...

doesnt get so what you want another 50-75
for the aero do whatever you want cause at
memphis we were 45 heavy so what ever weight break
you ask for we will also get so lets say you get another
50 that makes us at the next race almost 100 lighter???

so with some tunin we could go .40 or .39

This been argued again and again.

Go play with the math

Here, I'll give you a head start and save you some time.

Drag = 1/391 x Cd x A x Vsquared

Cd = drag coefficient of the object
A = Frontal Area of the object
V = the speed of the air past the object

Go measure some cars.

No, 75 lbs isn't enough. Even if the drag coefficient were the same on a 2000 Camero as a 1969 Nova, the frontal area is WAY off. Finish the math and you'll see.

But whatever, this isn't about whining as you put it. It's about proving something by logic and math and using your head.

You have to be careful and really know what you're looking at witht he time slips, though, Chris. There is a distinct difference in acceleration between a Gilde and Th210 from the 60 to 660, and I have seen tests where the glide is worth 3 to 4 mph over the 400 due to less rotating weight.........
The time slip makes more sense to me like that. I know what we ran to the 330 and 1/8 on our .51, and if we didn't have our heads screwed on backwards it would have been a .47. Not to argue, just a point.
We are not complaining about the aero, because we know how quick we should have been from the 660 to the 1320, and if anyone should complain about the aero....it's us!!!

I think that's the point that Radnis is trying to make....he ran pretty good in the back with old iron.....

Lafferty and Terry said that in regard to aerodynamics and E.T., there's little or no difference between a 2000+ Camaro and a 1969 Nova; and that a 1987-1993 Mustang is actually worse than a 1969 Nova.

At this point, it's more rib poking and laughing than anything serious.

Looks to me that they just proved that this combo has alot more potential like i've been trying to tell you guys.Im pretty sure his car has a fogger on it right 30jet 7.48 5 hits?So now I'm gonna get a big lead trophy and have to play catch up to a blue camaro:(
