I say we take the vote according to how many races you showed up for then vote on any rule change. There is a fourm here that has a bunch of no shows 4 races between them and they are requestung rule changes!!!!!!! Mens (1)/Booze(1)/Blankinship (2)and Chandler (0). Now on the other side of the coin Baskin with 2 cars,Schmidt,Demayo attended EVERY race so they should get more votes plus a bonus for attending all of the races or just use your points as vote counters. Here we have a bunch of no shows trying to get the best of the class who SHOW UP and built combos for the class with no more say so than thease guys who dont even come to a race. Booze who we all know is in bed with Kuntz,Mens with tag along Blankship & Murry have the advanage with being in the business. They have chose their combos andnow they dont make the grade in P/S so now (even thou they dont show up) so now they want to change a class that gets along fine without them . THEY should read the rule book if they want to run in this class and build their engine to suit..I have a car for Hot Street and a car for Pro Stock my choice ,Baskin has 2 Pro Stock cars his choice,Andy made his 400 into 420 his choice . If you only have 1 car then you should build 2 motors Robby has had 2 for 2 years but they are both 400 .Is that the class fault? Mens motor was built AFTER he built Jr first 420 so I say do what we did make your 400 a 420 . And mybe just maybe we changed classes so we wouldent have to compete at a unfair advanage of the Roush and Kuntz personal involvement with their FULL time R&D...........Powerhead.

Can we get point votes based on events attended since the inception of the class?

I showed up for 2 races Mike, besides, I never requested only suggested here in these forums and unlike you I wanted what was best for the class, not best for me.

I think Butch has also paid the price of having his vote count as well... he paid the price and took the hit, that has to be worth something.

Myself, I'm just keeping to myself. You guys figure it out, but I'd like all 420" SBF's to get a 100 pound weight break.

:D

This class evolved from Hot Rod's Real Street class and Jeff Chandler and over 30 cars were there 10 years ago. Crying to win ruined the class.

Now there is a name from my old NMCA days! How are you Karl?

Back to the post I don't think that is a good idea. While the rules staff can certainly see who is involved this isn't a democracy.

Hey Robin, I remember the old days when men were men, sheep were scared and racing was still fun.

I also remember when Fords were the oddballs at the races, 90% GM.

All my Mustangs are for sale, I'm going back to the general after 20 years.

Do you see any of the ACTIVE members looking for change? No so now we have to debate a rule change that no one asked for but a past racer and a premadona. Boozey ran the same speed as Jr did at Bowling Green NMRA weighing 50lbs more then Jr just to show ya the bigger motor with the cast intake is less efficient so the extra 20inches is not a big deal.

If you look at the original post you will see it was posted in June when I still had my car, I've had nothing to say on the matter since so do me a favor and point your little finger somewhere else. Got it?

Setttle down there Sparky.... there aren't rules about who can express their opinion. Please keep your comments in a positive nature.

Thanks

Maybe you should be concerned about the 30 other people who used to run in this class or it's predesessor (Real Street) or the one person who might be considering running this class (don't do it, you're a fool) Car count going up? No, quite the opposite. Make rules with logic not to appease cry babies.

Car count normaly goes down when you change the rules and if you have already built a car then it would be up to you to conform not have the rules changed. We run both of our cars but the 360 we know dosent really have a chance. That is our choice we know what the rules are. In JRs car we changed it to just be a P/S car,Get it...we changed so we can run the class not have the class change so we could run.

That's BS, the rules changed to allow crossover from NMRA Hot Street.. SB Fords were allowed to use a 15 degree Edelbrock head while the SB Chevy had to run 20 degree heads. The initial rules for PRO/Pro Stock had a limited head rule to eliminate race type heads that ruined NMCA Real Street. Now to keep SBCs competive with SBFs, they allow 15-18 degree heads so someone running a SBC has to throw away their 20 degree heads. SO the SBFs dont have to do anything to cross over from NMRA HS but add weight and everyone else has to buy heads to keep up.

How bout' me spending big $$ on heads that fit the rules 100%
and now have to run at the heaviest sbc weight there is??
Work hard, run hard= get penalized.
someone else has the same cubic inch engine with much better heads and everyone knows how much power it made and I have to weight the same as they do?? thats pretty fair.

My point exactly. What about the $7000+ 23 degree heads that used to be legal that are now worthless? You went fast, the phones started ringing: wah wah boo hoo. Rules are changed not by logic but who cries the loudest.

Boy this really makes you think twice about running here. My wife was planning on running here next season. We built her car to run in Beat The Heat in the open catagory, faster than 10.99( her car is alot faster than that but we only have 3 catagories and all races are bracket). We were not planning on running somewhere else at the time, but now she wants to. This is where her car fits as far as engine and suspension goes but I am thinking about changing things to fit a different class. She loves the way the car was planned and set and doesnt want it to change but maybe I should. Anyways thanks for the eye-opener. We dont have this kind of thing where we are racing now, yes when it comes down to it you are on your own, but until you line up for that final race everyone is on the same page and we all work together.
