The NMCA Edelbrock Drag Racing Series will feature a full compliment of classes that offer a broad range of appeal to a wide variety of enthusiasts. Certainly, the NMCA Edelbrock Drag Racing Series is the cornerstone of the NMCA Edelbrock Hot Rod & Muscle Car Nationals. Vic Edelbrock, Jr. has committed his company’s support once again and it is this level of support which allows the NMCA to offer such classes as BMF Pro Street, Nitto Super Street 10.5 W, GM Performance Parts - Nostalgia Pro Street, Vortech Xtreme Street, Comp Cams Pro Stock, Car Craft Street Race, BFGoodrich Tires - Mean Street, Hamburger’s Nostalgia Super Stock, OPG Nostalgia Muscle Car, Superchips Open Comp, Eaton Late Model EFI, Bracket Showdown and MSD True Street.

Official NMCA Classes & Rules

BMF - PRO STREET Pro Street vehicles are the fastest and quickest vehicles in the NMCA series. Pro Street provides the ultimate in street-legal drag racing with 6-second passes at over 200 MPH. Pro Street entries are permitted small block and big block engines up to and including a maximum of 830 ci depending on combination. Single power adder naturally aspirated, supercharged, nitrous, or turbocharged engine combinations are permitted using both gasoline and alcohol as fuel. View Full Class Rulebook Copy

NITTO TIRE - SUPER STREET 10.5W Super Street vehicles are the fastest and quickest vehicles in the NMCA series designed for stock bodied, stock appearing vehicles. Super Street entries are permitted small block and big block engines up to and including a maximum of 650 ci depending on combination, and compete on a 31x10.5"W" type tire. GM PERFORMANCE PARTS- NOSTALGIA PRO STREET Nostalgia Pro Street vehicles are designed for American production passenger cars and trucks, 1950 & later, back half and tube chassis vehicles that emulate the famous "Pro Street" vehicles of the early 90’s that defined the Street movement. VORTECH - XTREME STREET Xtreme Street is designed for small block and big block single power adder 1950 and newer American production vehicles. Supercharged and nitrous engine combinations are permitted with a maximum cubic inch of 525 depending on combinations. Xtreme Street permits a variety of race-proven modifications and performance enhancements on stock steel bodied, stock appearing vehicles, with stock type chassis and frame rails. COMP CAMS - PRO STOCK Pro Stock is a naturally aspirated class designed for 1950 & newer American production cars and trucks that are equipped with stock-type chassis and 10.6" wide tires. Pro Stock entries are permitted small block and big block engines up to and including a maximum of 525 ci. Pro Stock permits a variety of race-proven modifications and performance enhancements on stock bodied, stock appearing vehicles. Suspension is restricted to stock-type or ladder bars. CAR CRAFT - STREET RACE Car Craft Street Race is the ultimate “real world” class in the NMCA series. Car Craft Street Race is a class designed for real street cars and trucks equipped with DOT-legal street slicks or drag radial tires. Car Craft Street Race entries are permitted EFI or carbureted nitrous-equipped, supercharged, or turbocharged small block up to 415 ci, or carbureted big block engines up to 490 ci. BF GOODRICH TIRES- MEAN STREET Mean Street is the ultimate “real world non-power adder” class in the NMCA series. Mean Street is a non-power adder class designed for street equipped, cars and trucks. Mean Street entries are permitted small blocks with a maximum of 385 ci. Mean Street permits a variety of race-proven modifications and performance enhancements on stock bodied, stock appearing vehicles. OPG - NOSTALGIA MUSCLE CAR Nostalgia Muscle Car is an index-style foot brake only class for the year models, body styles, and engine combinations, which are listed below. Classification will be based on a visual inspection and an e.t. range. All qualifiers in Nostalgia Muscle Car must have a valid elapsed time recorded to be placed into eliminator competition. MSD - TRUE STREET True Street is a racing class for mildly modified to heavy modified high performance street vehicles that are street certified and able to drive over a 30-mile distance. All model years and engine types and power adders permitted. Class is designed for stock-chassis or back-half type vehicles running true 10.5" wide tires. HAMBURGER'S - NOSTALGIA SUPER STOCK Nostalgia Super Stock is an index-style foot brake only class for the year models, body styles, and engine combinations, which accurately represent those cars, which raced in the A/FX and Super Stock classes of the ’60s. Certain exceptions in the authenticity of these cars will be allowed. Among those exceptions, but not limited to, are factors concerning safety, equality in performance, availability, and durability. BRACKET SERIES NMCA Bracket Competition will feature a complete event on Sunday, and a Gambler’s Competition on Saturday, time-permitting. Time trials will be permitted each day for Bracket competitors. Class designations are required on vehicle clearly as follows: Super Eliminator; PRO; Street Eliminator, following a class number.
